Casa Menta
A neighbourhood restaurant people now cross town for.
Identity, menus, signage and a booking site for a mint-green trattoria in Ancoats.

The brief
Great food, a mint-green façade and a menu nobody could read online. Bookings came by phone, when someone remembered to pick up.
What we made
Identity, menus, signage, a booking site and a weekly specials system the kitchen updates from a phone.

How we did it
We started where the guests start: outside, on the pavement. The façade was already the brand. Mint walls, pink arches, a door that looks like it has been there forever. The job was to carry that feeling onto a phone screen without turning it into a theme.
The wordmark is drawn from the arches. The menu system runs on one grid, so lunch, dinner, wine and the Sunday set all feel related, and the kitchen can print a new specials card in two minutes.
The site does three things: shows tonight’s specials, takes a booking in two taps, and tells you how to find the door. Everything else is a photograph.

In their words
People walk in holding their phone, showing us the specials page. That never happened before.
